More than mere escapism, they provide an opportunity to play out our fantasies and our fears within a more manageable context.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Over the last couple of decades, I have worked to create realities that players want to inhabit, but also teams that game developers want to inhabit. The games industry, unfortunately, is full of opportunities to do better than our current state. By applying engagement principles from games to game development, it is possible to improve on existing techniques to build sustainable, engaging, and rewarding environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
